Durras Lake Discovery Trail

Take an easy family walk at Durras North in Murramarang National Park. Stepping stones, a lookout tower, a log walk and interpretive displays add interest along the way. NSW Government advises that the trail does not cater for people with access needs.

Junior ranger: Pretty Beach coastal adventure

Children aged 5–16 can enjoy a scavenger hunt and nature art during this NSW National Parks school-holiday activity at Pretty Beach. Bookings and park entry fees apply, children need an accompanying adult, and there is no wheelchair access.

Junior ranger: Forest flyers kite workshop at Depot Beach

Children aged five and over can build a kite during the school holidays at Depot Beach. An adult must accompany each child. Bookings and park entry fees apply, and the activity does not have wheelchair access.

Dunn Lewis Centre Youth Programs

In nearby Ulladulla, young people can choose from Wednesday Connect after school, a weekly climbing club, youth pickleball, and youth and children’s theatre. Ask the centre for current term details; the youth-program contact is 02 4454 1099.

Dunn Lewis Centre Children’s Parties

Party packages combine two choices from ten-pin bowling, climbing, gym or games. A minimum of eight children applies, and families must book at least seven days ahead.

📚 Early years, care and connection

Eurobodalla Libraries – children’s programs

Batemans Bay Library runs school-term storytime for ages 2–5, baby rhymetime for babies up to 18 months, and toddler time for ages 1–3. Members can also use children’s and teen digital reading resources.

Eurobodalla Council 3Bs Playgroups

These free, educator-led sessions for Eurobodalla families with children aged 0–5 include stories, music, morning tea and activities supporting creativity, movement, social skills and school readiness. Sunshine Bay is among the locations, and first-time families register before attending.

Embracing Babies

Parents and carers of infants can connect at this informal Batemans Bay school-term program. Sessions include baby-appropriate activities, morning tea and information from early childhood professionals and service providers. Registration is required.

Eurobodalla Family Day Care

Qualified educators provide council-approved, home-based early learning and care for children aged 0–12, including in Batehaven and Sunshine Bay. Fees vary by educator, and eligible families may access the Child Care Subsidy.

Child and Family Centre – Ulladulla Community Health Centre

Families with new babies and children up to age five can access free child and family health nursing in Ulladulla. Support includes Blue Book health checks, parenting guidance, child development, nutrition, breastfeeding and emotional wellbeing. Disabled access is available.

Binji & Boori – Aboriginal Maternal Infant and Child Health

Aboriginal women and families in Milton and Ulladulla can receive support during pregnancy and until a child turns five. The regional program offers home and clinic visits, as well as outreach through Aboriginal services.

Family Connect and Support – Southern NSW

MacKillop Family Services provides free support across Eurobodalla for families facing concerns such as parenting challenges, financial stress, family breakdown, housing difficulties, mental health concerns, substance use, or domestic and family violence. It operates Monday to Friday, 9 am–5 pm, with appointments outside those hours if needed.
